Today, October 6, 2026, The Wall That Heals arrived in Aston Township.
Our Aston Township Highway Department has already begun the important work of setting up this powerful tribute to the men and women who served during the Vietnam War.
Over the coming days, our community will have the opportunity to visit, reflect, remember, and honor the 58,281 names inscribed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
We are incredibly honored to welcome The Wall That Heals to Aston Township and grateful to everyone working behind the scenes to make this meaningful event possible.
Please join us as we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, honor our Vietnam veterans, and ensure their service and sacrifice are never forgotten.

UPDATE: The subjects involved have been identified and arrested in New Jersey. Charges are pending in Pennsylvania.
🚨 COMMUNITY ALERT – THEFTS FROM VEHICLES / STOLEN VEHICLE 🚨
The Aston Township Police Department is investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles that occurred during the early morning hours of September 30 in the areas of Park, Florence, Steeplechase, and Mount. We are also investigating a stolen vehicle believed to be connected to these incidents. That vehicle has since been recovered.
We are asking residents in these areas to review any doorbell, home security, or surveillance footage between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM for suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity.

The Aston Township Police Department extends our congratulations to Sgt. Mikell Jones. This past Friday, Sgt. Jones graduated from the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command.
This program, an intensive ten-week executive leadership program, focuses on various subjects relevant to modern-day law enforcement leaders. Topics include law enforcement administration, leadership, budgeting, resource management, long-term strategic planning, and other modern law enforcement topics.
Sgt. Jones has been with the Aston Township Police Department since 2002. During his +20 years with our agency he has served in various roles, including as a K9 officer and SWAT team member.
Please join us in congratulating Sgt. Jones on this significant professional achievement. He joins prior ATPD Northwestern graduates Sgt. Giancristoforo, Ret. Sgt. Osborn and Ret. Sgt. Brown in attaining this distinct accomplishment.
We are confident that the knowledge gained will serve both the department and the Aston community for years to come!
